Robert and Catherine McDowell purchased Kellosheil Park to implement their long-term vision – a property dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of horses using a holistic approach. The phrase Holistic Equine Rehabilitation, coined by Robert and Catherine, takes on a new meaning when looking at the whole picture from their perspective.

The vision is simple. A chemical free environment that encourages healing on all levels- physically, emotionally and spiritually. We also wanted to have an environment that could be used by all manner of recreational horse owners, creating a model for excellent horse health care, beautiful environments to recreate in, and one that enables us to manage the enterprise to have minimal impact on the environment. Kellosheil Park will also be a small stud, selectively breeding from our two mares to stallions that we believe have the beauty, grace and genetic health that will perform in all three disciplines, as well as be wonderful and healthy companions. Every day thousands of horses are shipped across the country in deplorable conditions and taken to slaughter houses to die. Some suffer in our own back yard.
